NORTH FULTON/FORSYTH FEEDER FASTPITCH SOFTBALL LEAGUE - FALL 2011 INFO (ADDED 1/28/11)
The North Fulton/Forsyth feeder fastpitch softball league is in the planning phase for the Fall 2011 season. Area schools expecting to field middle school fastpitch teams again in 2011 include Alpharetta, Chattahoochee, Johns Creek, Lambert, Milton, Northview, Roswell, and South Forsyth. The league is happy to welcome two new additions from Forsyth County to the program for 2011 - West Forsyth and Forsyth Central. Both schools will further enhance the feeder league and provide even more competition for our players and teams.

The feeder fastpitch programs for the various schools are independently organized and run by volunteers. Eligible players include 6th, 7th, or 8th grade students for the 2011-12 school year that reside within the defined attendance zone for one of the participating schools as defined by Fulton County or Forsyth County as appropriate for the specific school. Players need only reside within the attendance zone for a school. If a player plans to attend a private school or if a player will be home-schooled, that player is still eligible to play for their attendance zone high school. Players whose families are participating in the Fulton County open enrollment program are eligible to participate at their open enrollment school once a sibling is accepted into the program. Teams are offered based on sufficient player interest, sufficient volunteers, and by agreement with the softball program and/or booster club from each team's respective school. Teams are completely self-funded. For a detailed description of the program, please download the document below. A league rules summary is also available below.

Organizational meetings will be held during the months of March, April, and May with team tryouts scheduled for July and/or August. Practices begin in August with league games starting in late August. The season culminates with a double elimination format championship tournament in October. Please note that each school's program is responsible for its own schedule of events, selection of coaches and players, team schedule, and the cost of participation (umpires, uniforms, insurance, game balls, etc).

Please see SCHOOLS page for contact information for each school.
